SuperSport United will take on Royal AM in a midweek DStv Premiership encounter in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal province.

The match is scheduled for Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday night.

Kick-off is at 19:30 and the match will be televised live on SuperSport’s PSL channel.

Visitors SuperSport are going into this crucial match following their 2-1 loss to Kaizer Chiefs in Polokwane on the weekend.

The loss saw Matsatsantsa dropping from number five to position seven on the DStv Premiership log table.

This is a must win match for United because if they drop more points they’ll definitely find themselves out of the top half of the log table.

United have so far played 25 matches with nine wins, the same number of draws and losses (eight) and have bagged 35 points.

Good news for United is the return of their regular goalkeeper Ricardo Goss who missed out two league matches due to suspension.                

In the first round, United beat Royal AM 3-1 at the TUT Stadium in Tshwane in October last year. Bradley Grobler netted a brace and the third strike was an own goal from Thabo Matlaba.
