KATZA ATTENDS COACHING COURSE IN HOLLAND

Former SuperSport United hard tacking defender Ricardo Katza, currently in Holland shares with us his experience and the knowledge he is gaining from the coaching course.
“When I arrived in Holland I immediately sensed the smell of a football loving nation and the passion the kids have for the beautiful game.
Youngsters from a tender age of five are hungry and determined to one day becoming a Holland hero,” he added.
The 34 year old retired in the 2011/2012 season and is now looking to give back to club he served for nine years having played over 150 games for Matatsansa.
“I am doing a KNVB International Coaching Licence course which is two weeks and I am hoping to do well.
“We are 27 participants from all over the world which include countries like New Zealand, Japan, Brazil, India, England, Italy and various countries from Africa.
We are seven participants from South Africa, Glen Salmon and Shoes Moshoeu is amongst the lot,” said the Capetonian.
Having nineteen Bafana Bafana caps under his belt, the former lanky centre back is excited to be working around some of the most experience players in their time.
“The instructor is from the association of KNVB who has been instructing for over 20 years in the KNVB system.
He added,” The former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam, who was at PEC Zwollen won promotion to the Eredivision for the first time in 10 years.
”I'm here to get educated and to gain better knowledge of the game and most importantly being a great organizer in our youth development,” he concluded.
