SuperSport United beat University of Pretoria 1-0 in a Reserve League encounter in Tshwane on Monday afternoon.

The match took place at the Groenkloof Campus, kick off was at 3:30pm.

The visitors SuperSport were the first to register a goal from the boot of midfielder Edwin Gyimah who scored a beautiful volley just outside the box.

The score was 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, the home side fought for an equalizer but was denied by a solid SuperSport defence which was made up of Ricardo Katza, Mario Booysen, Thabo September and Davies Nkausu.

Matsatsantsa are still on top of the table with 34 points out of 13 matches followed by rivals Mamelodi Sundowns with 25 points on position two.

Meanwhile the kickoff time for the match between SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates has been changed from 3pm to 6pm in Polokwane on Tuesday next week.
